Good evening everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Today I am super excited to share with you the highlight of my Cosmoprof North America trip and certainly something I will always remember. I had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Zoya and learn about her and her amazing company.
Zoya, her husband Michael, and child migrated from Russia to the states in 1979. They set up home in Cleveland, Ohio and started their new adventure. Zoya went to work in a local salon where she learned more about her new town, the nail industry, and the English language. When Zoya became pregnant with their next child her husband began to question the products she worked with everyday. When they started reading the ingredients they were shocked at all of the harmful chemicals people were using on a daily basis. Zoya and Michael, a well trained chemists, set out to make safe products for the salon world and unknowingly change the market entirely. Zoya Nail Treatments certainly rocked the world in the 80’s when they started expressing the benefits of their 3 Free Products and some brands were not excited. Zoya stuck to her passion of healthy nails and the rest is history.
Zoya took the time to share her inspiration for naming her polish and I absolutely loved her thought process. We discussed how boring color names were at the time; do you want light mauve, medium mauve, or dark mauve? Hahaha! Zoya thought the colors should be named after famous women from history and the colors represent them properly.
To close things out I had to tell Zoya how she had made me eat my words. Yes, I told her how much I “thought” I would hate the Pixies and that their Liberty promo last year hooked me. I then told her that I have since then bought almost every single Pixie and love them dearly. I had actually picked out a Pixie to wear to my meeting and we spent the next few minutes stare into my nails like it was some outer galaxy. Today I am going to share that beauty with you guys.
Sunshine is a rich dark blue texture blend that has the most beautiful sparkle. As with all the Pixies, application was amazing and dry times are super quick. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Sunshine.
So what do you guys think of this beauty? I love it, as I do with all the Pixies. It was a real pleasure meeting with Zoya and after learning more about her and the company, I am an even bigger fan. Please check out all that Zoya has to offer and please give them a follow of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram for up to date releases, promos, and amazing photos. You can even see cute pics of Zoya and I on their Facebook page. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow. <3

That wall of Zoya is just jaw-dropping! I want it in my house.
You always make the Pixies look so good! I love how sparkly they are but my crazy OCD makes me topcoat them. Still so beautiful though.

That is what I love about the Pixies. They are so versatile and the colors are fabulous on coverage. One day I will have them all. 🙂
