Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday! Today I am finally dropping in to share my amazing trip to Pandora complements of BlogHer and Disney Parks. I still in awe of the amazing opportunity these two fabulous companies blessed me with. I had actually been talking with a dear friend for a few week about how awesome it would be to go check out the new Pandora addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and was starting to plan a winter trip and then I actually got a chance to go!!!! Now I am not bailing on my friend and hope to still make that trip to check out Pandora along with all the other holiday festivities this winter. But until then I am going to share with you guys the beauty of Pandora – The World of Avatar.
So first let me start of by saying this was my first Disney trip since I was a very small child and to say I was blown away by the magic is an understatement. Disney Parks really goes all out and includes the tiniest detail to make everything just perfect. To be able to take such an amazing movie full of digital animation and put that in to reality along with amazing rides is simply awesome!
After you enter Animal Kingdom you begin your journey to the back corner of the park and as you get closer to Pandora – The World of Avatar you start seeing tons of little cues that you are going the right way.
Once you turn the corner just past the pod, which you can rub on to create a mist and spit of water, you are immediately greeted by the Hallelujah Mountains in the Valley of Mo’ara and all I can say is WOW!!! You are suddenly engulfed in a world that is not our own. The vegetation is gorgeous and vibrant, the sounds are soothing, and the mountains are jaw dropping. There are waterfalls everywhere and even though you are in an amusement park, you are all on your own enjoying the beauty. With this being a new attraction area, we were able to walk around with ease and take in all the lovely plants.
Isn’t all just so beautiful?!?! Everything is so big, the pictures do not capture their grand size. It really is a must see in person place! Now for more beauty…..the food and drinks!!!! There are two specialty frozen drinks that are sure to cool you off on a summer day. You have the Night Blossom with is a non alcoholic frozen drink that is a mixture of limeade with apple and desert pear flavors topped with passion fruit boba balls. This drink is just $5.99 but for $8.99 you can added a glowing unadelta seed that makes this drink super fun, especially at night. The second frozen beverage is Mo’ara Margarita and includes Sauza Conmemorative Anejo Tequila with strawberry and blood orange flavors topped with strawberry boba balls for $9.25 or add the glowing unadelta seed for $12.25. Of course I had to get a shot of my nails and my Mo’ara Margarita drink, nails were a Na’vi River inspired look that I whipped up quickly in my hotel room. My friend Candy grabbed up the Night Blossom with the glowing unadelta seed so you know I snapped some pics of her drink and a vid of the pod….it’s what blogger friends do!

For lunch we all headed over to the Satu’li Canteen and OMG, some of the best food I’ve had in ages!! I picked up the Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl, slow-roasted beef marinated in a blend of garlic, herbs, red pepper spice, and red wine vinegar topped with crunchy vegetable slaw and boba balls. I picked grains and rice with a black bean sauce for my base and sauce combo. I of course had to get a dessert too so I picked the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse with a passion fruit curd. I was able to get all of this food and large drink for just $22.98 tax and all!!! There is no way I could go to any local restaurant and get this much delicious food for that price so to find that in an amusement park really blew me away!
Okay, now for some rides! Pandora – The World of Avatar has two new amazing rides. Both of which I am sure you are going to love! First we will take a glimpse at the Na’vi River Journey. You are loaded on to a small boat and transported for just over 4 minutes down the Na’vi River where you are surrounded by the bioluminescent rainforest and all of it’s wildlife. The colors are so vibrant and pictures do not capture how bright they truly are. The temperature was just perfect and a great way to take a break from the hot June weather. Now I don’t want to totally ruin the ride for you be here is a few shots.
Next up was the Avatar Flight of Passage. This ride was AMAZING!!!! I used my FlashPass+ so I missed the real Avatar on exhibit, you better believe I will be seeing it on my next trip, but this was the best option seeing as how the ride wait was over 90 mins! If you are going to Pandora, schedule those passes to save you some time. Avatar Flight of Passage is a 3D ride where you get to fly on the back of a mountain banshee through the beautiful world of Pandora. We were not allowed to take photos during the ride itself but I will say, WOW! Just WOW! You crawl on to a motorcycle looking device and are transported in to a 3D world that is totally believable. You can actually feel the banshee breathing between your legs as you fly through Pandora. You are surrounded by various smells as you travel through different parts of the world and even sprayed with ocean mists as you fly over sea. This ride was simple perfect in every way!!! So much so I rode it twice and considered a third!
Okay now for some nail art that we all love! I was inspired by so much beauty that it was hard to pick a theme but I decide to go with the Na’vi skin patterns and colors to create the perfect Avatar mani. For my look I used Purity, Lillian, and Ling from Zoya along with my DRK-A stamping plate and dotting tools to turn my nails Na’vi!
Wow! What an amazing opportunity!!! I can’t thank BlogHer and Disney Parks enough for this amazing day that I will remember and cherish always! Disney was, and still is because there is so much more to see, on my bucket list and getting the chance to spend the day with old and new friends was simply magical. I am beyond grateful!! Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my amazing adventure through Pandora – The World of Avatar! <3
Trip was complements of BlogHer and Disney Parks but my opinions are all my own.
