Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday! Today I have another mani I created in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Today’s look is the most simple but yet, the most expensive mani to create. lol! When I got done I started adding up the cost to do this and I was a little ashamed! With my base coat, top coat, color and gold top coat, I have spent $100!
For my ridiculously overpriced mani I started with a base coat of SuperChic Lacquer Bring It On! base to help make this expensive mani last. Next up I used two coats of Rouge by Christian Louboutin. While their polish is insanely expensive, I want more. This stuff applies beautifully, the wand is a dream to work with, and the brush is just perfect for my nail beds. Now to jazz up the red I applied two coats Pure 18K Gold and Silver Top Coat by OPI (which is now only $7 and available via Amazon Prime!). I really wish this was more silver, the red base really brought out the gold undertones. Lastly I sealed everything with two coats of SuperChic Lacquer Liquid Macro Top Coat.
So what do you guys think of my overpriced mani? Yes, I have created more amazing looks for a lot less money but….. I feel fancy when I wear gold on my nails. 😛 I still love both of these lacquers and am thrilled to own them. They are a few of my “unicorns”.
