Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all having a fabulous day! I am so sorry I have been away but I have been a very busy bee. As you can see, Model City has had a major facelift! What do you guys think? I am so excited to start on some new adventures and with that, this new mid century inspired look. To kick off the new site I wanted to share the latest collection from Zoya and even have a little giveaway! First the polish and then the giveaway! The Sunshine Collection is the newest collection from Zoya and consists of 12 stunning new shades.
First up we have Saldana, this is a lovely buildable, cotton-candy blue holographic topper with hints of pink and blue colored glitter – wear it alone or layer over other colors. I personally decided to wear it as a topper and think this will be a lovely addition to any cool toned lacquer. In my photos I am wearing one coat of Saldana over Delia by Zoya.
Next up we have one of my favorites from the Sunshine Collection. Delia is described as a full coverage muted amethyst cream. This shade is just dreamy and had the perfect formula. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Delia.
Time to sweeten things up with a few lovely pink shades! First in the pink class we have Missy, the perfect summer pink in a full coverage cream formula. This shade is so sweet and perfect for those long summer days. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Missy.
Now for another favorite from the collection. Sandy is described a full coverage blue toned flamingo pink cream. What doesn’t scream pink more than those cute pink flamingos on the front lawn!!! Once again, this formula was just perfect! In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Sandy.
Next up we have Ellie. This shade is described as a full coverage raspberry sorbet cream. Who doesn’t love a good sorbet on a warm summer day? In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Ellie.
Now to warm thinks up a little with some rich reds. First we have Karen, a full coverage poppy red cream. I love how vibrant this shade is and with flawless coverages it’s perfect! In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Karen.’
Okay now for the show stopper of the collection. Marigold is described as a bright and dazzling micro-shimmer red in a full coverage formula. I absolutely love everything about this shade!! So vibrant and the shimmer…really reminds me of marigolds growing in my backyard as a child. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Marigold.
Next up we have Virginia. This is a full coverage juicy coral red cream. Once again another lovely shade with no complaints. In my photos I am wearing just tow coats of Virginia.
Now for some more muted shades. First we have Minnie, this is described as a full coverage pink toned coral cream. This shade was a bit tricky for me to apply and let things looking a little patchy. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Minnie though with proper application you could get away with two.
Next up we have Clementine, a full coverage salmon toned coral with a pink and orange micro-shimmer. While this isn’t normally a shade I would wear, the shimmer is very lovely and would be great for a more toned down occasion. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Clementine.
Lastly for the cremes we have Jack. This is a full coverage nude cream, perfect to match your morning latte. This is one of those rare occasions where a nude shade works with my skin tone! In my photos I am wearing two coats of Jack.
Lastly for the sunshine collection we have another great topper. Nahla is described as a buildable, golden glitter. This shade is just lovely and will work over various colors. I decided to add sparkle to Jack by wearing one coat of Nahla on top.
So what do you guys think of the new Sunshine Collection from Zoya? I am in love! While I do wish there had been some more ocean/water inspired shades, this is a lovely collection and will make a perfect addition to anyone’s collection. These are really pretty although I do agree, more blues or teals would have been fantastic! I was also kind of hoping for a true orange since it’s been a little while since Zoya has released one, although I do love the colour of Clementine.
Maybe they are saving some stunning blues and green for later in the season. Fingers crossed!
I love the new look, it really let’s the polish be the main focus. As for this collection I like the colors but feel like they aren’t original, and I’ve seen them before. But that might be me trying to convince myself I don’t need them since I’m trying to curb my buying.
