Good evening everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday! Today I have been working in my office to get you guys swatches of the fabulous new Petals Collection by Zoya. I know like me, a lot of you are pretty excited for this collection so I wasted no time! Tonight’s post is picture heavy so let’s dive in.
First up we have Laurel. This is a warm salmon pink creme blend with a hint of pink shimmer. This color did apply a bit uneven but with three coats it was mostly level, still a few low areas depending on the brush pressure. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Laurel.
Next up we have my favorite from the collection, Aster. This is a gorgeous periwinkle blend filled with purple, pink, and hint of blue flake shimmer. Application was fantastic and formula easy to work with. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Aster.
Now for Tulip, a warm true salmon creme filled with a soft, subtle shimmer. Again this one applied a bit uneven but with a little work, you can get a smooth finish. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Tulip.
Now for Azalea, another favorite. This is a bright, Spring pink filled with a pink fleck shimmer. Application, formula, and coverage were all flawless! In my photos I am wearing three coats of Azalea.
Now we have Zahara. This is a lovely bright orange coral blend filled with pink and orange fleck shimmer. I had no issues with Zahara and the end finish was beautiful. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Zahara.
Last on the list is Leia. This is a sheer iridescent blend that can be layered or worn as a top coat. Application and formula were both super easy, though I feel for alone wear you will need a LOT of coats. First we will look at it on its own. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Leia.
Now let’s take a look at Leia as a top coat. I paired it with Zoya Eden (pink) and Zoya Lilian (blue). Both colors look completely different and Leia gave the right amount of even sparkle with just one coat.
Okay, now for a comparison post. I saw a lot of chatter about how much Laurel, Tulip, and Zahara favored each other. While all three care similar, you can see side by side that they are very different.
So what do you guys think of the new Petals Collection from Zoya? Overall, a very nice collection for Spring. While I did have a little trouble with the formulas on Tulip and Laurel, they weren’t anything to difficult. The new Petals Collection is available now and for a short period, you can get the full set for $40. Please take a moment to check out all the amazing lacquers Zoya has to offer and give them a follow on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for up to date info. Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and I will see you all again soon.
Ooh, I need Aster, Azalea and Leia
I really love Laurel, Tulip, and Zahara, peach just screams spring to me. It’s so hard to choose a favorite, because Aster is really stunning, too! Great swatches as always, Nina!
Thanks! <3
Zahara and Leia are stunners! Wish the cremes had that lovely Zoya formula. It’s refreshing to see a collecting with some of warm shades.
Agreed! I normally love their cremes but these were a bit tricky.
I need this entire collection. I haven’t said that about Zoya since their first neutral collection!
It is a pretty solid collection and just perfect for Spring! 🙂
I have been eyeing this collection. The shimmer in the colors are gorgeous!
The flake shimmers were my favorite too!
These are super pretty…I love the shimmer. I’m sure lots of people will not be pleased with how “similar” all the shades are though! Great swatches!
The three are pretty close so on a budget you could certainly get away with just one shade. 🙂
Oh my, I almost jawdropped at Aster’s pics!
You’re not alone, I love it too!
It is a beautiful color and just perfect for Spring! <3
