Good evening everyone! I hope you are all having a great evening! Tonight I have today’s 12 Day of Christmas Nail Art Challenge to share with you guys. For day 4 our challenge was ornaments and I was super excited to finally use some water slide decals I got last year for this exact manicure. Sadly I learned something very important about my water slides….
For my ornament mani I used OPI Alpine Snow for the base on my water slides and Morgan Taylor Fit for a Queen for a red glittery accent. I then used some ornament water slide decals from Nailed Kit. I received these cute decal last year a bit too late to use for the holiday’s, originally package was lost in the mail, and I was so excited to finally use them. Well sadly these guys were junk! The adhesive must have deteriorated over the past year so they would NOT lay flat or stay in once place. I ended up using clear to hold them in place and then squished them down, and cleared again. The images became a little distorted and tore in some areas. Now of course I am totally nit picking and in person most of these flaws are not noticeable to the untrained eye.
So what do you guys think of my mani today? While I wish the decals has turned out better, I am glad to learn that apparently some decals have a shelf life. I need to start using up some decals! Thank you so much for stopping by today and be sure to scroll down to visit other amazing bloggers taking part in the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge.

That really stinks the quality of the decals deteriorated over time because they are super cute! Regardless, I still like how the mani itself came out!

That’s a shame that the decals acted like that. Your manicure turned out so cute though!
