Happy Caturday everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! While everyone uses the term Black Friday, it’s certainly become a much longer sale and pretty much lasting from Thursday into Monday. All weekend there will be tons of sales, like the one going on at Less Than Jake.
Long-time readers know my love for the band, fan for over 20 years, and I had the great pleasure of working with them yet again. For the third year running, I have created two shades based on inspiration titles provided by the band. The past two years we did album titles but this year we went with some song inspiration and I couldn’t be any more proud with my designs.
First up we have Last One Out of Liberty City. My first Less Than Jake inspiration polish I did years ago and what led me to these collaborations was titled Liberty City so it was super fun to revisit the song many years later. Last One Out of Liberty City is a firey red jelly base filled with gold and red flakes creating the perfect ember glow. In my photos, I am wearing three thin coats.
Next up we have All My Best Friend Are Metalheads. I had a lot of fun with this one and decided to go with a metal album vibe. All the classic metal albums from the ’80s seemed to have dark blues and purples on their album covers and of course lightning bolts so I crammed both into this bottle. All My Best Friends Are Metalheads is a deep violet jelly blend with various sizes and shapes of holographic glitters, including the lightning bolts. In my photos, I am wearing two coats with a good top coat. Topcoat is highly recommended in smoothing out larger glitters.
So what do you guys think of this year’s collaboration with Less Than Jake? These projects are the highlight of my year for sure and this year’s duo is just perfect! All My Best Friend Are Metalheads is right up my alley. I love rich blue hues, and the lightning bold glitter is calling my name – very Harry Potter!
