Happy Valentine’s Day 2019

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you are all having a great one if you celebrate! I am skipping the lovey-dovey crap this year, I tend to have bad Valentine’s Day so this year I’m skipping it. I am staying off social media, having some stiff drinks, and watching scary movies. I am currently watching a favorite, Christine, on Netflix! I loved this movie and remember my sister having a huge crush on Arnie. He had a Buddy Holly vibe that she also loved. Scary movies were certainly a vital part of my growing up and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now even though I really have had some crappy Valentine pasts, I still love doing Valentine’s Day themed nail art. It’s just one of those holiday’s that incorporate on to nails beautifully. For the official Valentine’s Day nail art this year I decided to go with purple instead of traditional pinks or reds. I started off with three thin coats of Haruko by Zoya, the violet shimmer was the perfect amount of sparkle. Next, I used Chiara by Zoya with the All About Love 2 plate from Lina Nail Art Supplies that I picked up on Whats Up Nails. Everything is sealed with two coats of Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat by SuperChic Lacquer.

So what do you guys think of this year’s Valentine’s Day look? I am loving this color combo and certainly see using it again for other designs. Now don’t get me wrong here, I don’t hate Valentine’s Day. It’s a great idea but it just never works out as I hope. This year I am taking the holiday in my own hands and am making a trip to Atlanta tomorrow to celebrate how I want to. Taking control and making things happen.
