Good evening everyone! I tried to wait a little before sharing Enchanted’s latest monthly due to it being a secret but I think the cat is pretty much out of the bag so time to share! Enchanted Polish has decided that all of the monthlies this year will be mysteries and so far looks like they will all be preorders too! Tomorrow the 30 minute preorder opens up for February 2014 so if you like surprises, set your clocks. I was a little worried about ordering a mystery polish and even when I started seeing the reveals I wasn’t sure I would like it. I am not a big dark polish fan but once I saw this one on my nails I fell in love.
January 2014 is a navy, almost black, holographic blend. Application was wonderful though I have heard others having issues and wonder if it is due to the extreme low temps recently. In my photos I am wearing two coats of January 2014 and a coat of HK Girl Fast Dry Top Coat.
So what do you guys think of the new monthly for 2014? How do you feel about ordering a higher price blend unseen? Personally I loved this color and will give February a try. Since Enchanted Polish is doing preorders this does seem to be helping keep the heavily inflated price down, so you could pick one up second hand for a fair price. It’s like sparkly denim! It looks great on you but I’m not sure I would love it on me. If I had extra money I’d totally buy a mystery (I’m a sucker for surprises!) but being on a tight polish budget only leaves room for things I know I will love.
Hopefully this months mystery doesn’t disappoint, it is my last purchase for a few months. 😛
