Downtown OWA

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely Friday! Today I am dropping in to share more details about my latest trip to South Alabama. Earlier in the week I shared with you guys the amazing event I attended at Wahlburgers located in Downtown OWA in Foley, Alabama. Well today I am going to tell you a little more about Downtown OWA.

Downtown OWA is part of the OWA complex which also houses an awesome amusement park and the TownePlace Suites from Marriott. Downtown OWA is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entrainment district that is perfect for a night out or a little getaway. You can park at the TownePlace Suites and then walk everywhere from there. All of Downtown OWA is free, the Park offers daily admission tickets.

Downtown OWA currently has some amazing places to eat like Wahlburgers, Trattoria Pizza & Italian, Hershey’s Ice Cream Parlor, and Auntie Anne’s & Cinnabon, and have Sushi C. by Mikato, Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar, and Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen all opening soon. Obviviously I am going to tell you that you need to try Wahlburgers, but I also think Trattoria Pizza and the Hersey’s Ice Cream Parlor would also be some great stops. Both of which I hope to try out my next trip down!

Along with some great dining locations, there is plenty of great shops to hit up too. Some that I saw that I have to hit up next trip are The Spice & Tea Exchange, Pepper Palace, and the Fairhope Soap Company. I really wish I had more time to explore and get photos but I was in a hurry to catch some great entertainment at The Theater.

Currently, Legends in Concert is stationed at the Theater and this is a show packed with great tribute artists. Legends in Concert originally was a Las Vegas show but now has since branched out and found a home at Downtown OWA. The artists make up a great mix of music so there will certainly be something for everyone. Elvis was my favorite, he nailed it perfectly!

Heads up! There is an intermission during the show which is the perfect time for bathroom breaks or to restock at the concession stand and not miss any of the great show. I had a blast and sang along to many of my favorite tunes.

Now after spending all day at Downtown OWA or the Park, you really don’t want to have to drive to hotel so that’s where the convenience of TownePlace Suites by Marriott come in handy. This is a new hotel so everything is up to date, super modern, clean, and well, just perfect! This hotel is set up with families in mind so everything you could possible need will be found in your room. There is a full kitchen stocked with all necessary utensils and equipment for whipping up a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. I even took advantage of the full kitchen by reheating my leftover onion rings from Wahlburgers.

The hotel does offer a full continental breakfast too if you want to take it easy in the mornings. There is also a small convenience store located at the front desk for stocking up on snacks, drinks, or those little items you forgot to pack. Also at TownePlace Suites by Marriott you have a full bar and a great outdoor sitting area complete with a fireplace and all.

About 5 mins north of OWA you will also find the Tanger Outlets. Great opportunity to get some shopping in and saving some money! I hit up the Coach Outlet while here looking for one piece in particular so it was great not having to go out of my way.

One more great advantages to the OWA area, you are just 20 minutes from the beach! Yes, Alabama has a small beach area! Gulf Shores beaches are just a little further south from OWA and are some of the cleanest beaches you will find in the Gulf region. You will also find all your seafood fix here too!

As you can clearly see, OWA is a great vacation getaway! You really have everything in a short walk or short drive. Beach vacation can get a bit expensive and finding a nice place to stay off the beach is sometimes hard. Thanks to OWA, you can have a great place to stay, shop, and dine without the overpriced beach expenses we have come to know. Win win!!! I hope to make a trip back down during cooler weather and check out the Park along with some of the new restaurants opening up, you know I love me some food!

Now that you have made it this far, it’s time to share with you my manicure inspired from my night at Downtown OWA. OWA means big water in the Muscogee language so I had to go blue for this look. Inspired by the music, the stars at night, and the blue lake we have my Downtown OWA mani.

For this look, I started off with three coats of What I Like About Blue by China Glaze. Next, I used Mallory by Zoya with the 300 plate from MoYou Nails. Everything is sealed with two coat of Liquid Marvel Top Coat by SuperChic Lacquer.

So what do you guys think of Downtown OWA and my music/water–inspired nails? I had an absolute blast at OWA and I can’t wait to go back!!! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will see you all again this weekend!

I attended Downtown OWA, Legends in Concert, and TownePlace Suites as a guest but that does not influence my opinions.

We just got a TownPlace! My MIL stayed there when she came to see the baby and it’s a REALLY nice hotel… I want for Ryan and I to stay-cation there sometime.

Naturally, I am working around the house this long weekend and doing some Christmas decorating. Before closing out the month, I wanted to hop on and share some updates. It was a crazy week at home with appointments, taking care of a sick puppy, and managing a household, but I wanted to share some more lovely lacquers from SuperChic Lacquer. Today, I have Psycho from SuperChic Lacquer to share. This was just the perfect silver holographic crackle shade for Halloween since it was inspired by the film Psycho, and I thought a red glitter base would be the ideal pairing....
