Catnip and Sir Whiskers by Lacquer Junkie

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely humpday! I was actually off work today, working Saturday, so I have been catching up on some home stuff that can’t be done on the weekends. Other than that I have been staying indoors because the heat and humidity is ridiculous!

Being stuck inside isn’t all bad though because I get to cuddle with two my sweet fur babies. Both Ali and Penny are rescue kitties and are two of the best cats ever! Neither were young cute kittens when I got them, Ali was 6 to 8 months old and Penny was 2 years old, but they have always had kitten like spunk and I love them dearly. Supporting rescues has always been a focus for me, whether with holiday donations or donating goods for auctions, so when I hear about polish makers doing the same I get excited.

Today is one of those indie brands that is helping a shelter dear to them. Lacquer Junkie is an Ohio based brand and they have a super cute polish line where a portion of sales go to a local Cat rescue. Today I have two shades to share with you guys.

First up is Catnip. This is a beautiful shamrock green pearlescent polish with emerald micro glitters, fine powder glitters in celery green, electric blue, and electric green with green/gold/blue illusion flakes with a holographic flair. This shade reminds me of my sweet Ali’s eyes. Such a beautiful and vibrant green! In my photos I am wearing three coats of Catnip by Lacquer Junkie.

Next up we have Sir Whiskers. This is a sheer red/bronze/copper duo chrome chameleon with small platinum bar glitters. Do you remember those cat eye stones? Well I don’t know if that was inspiration for this polish but it is totally spot on! I use to have one of those on a ring as a child and this polish brought back so many great memories! In my photos I am wearing three thin coats of Sir Whiskers by Lacquer Junkie.

As you can see, this polish is quiet sheer so I wanted to try layering it over a base shade. I was torn between a deep red, a black, or brown…. I had to go brown for the full cat eye stone effect. In my photos I am wearing one coat of Sir Whiskers by Lacquer Junkie over a dark chocolate brown base.

So what do you guys think of these two beauties from Lacquer Junkie? Both of these were perfect cat vibe lacquers and I am thrilled to know a portion of the sales go to a local shelter. I am certainly going to have to pick up a few more from the Polish for Paws collection. Be sure to check out all that Lacquer Junkie has to offer, and help support some kitties. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will see you all again soon.

It’s wonderful that she’s supporting a cat rescue like this. That always makes me want to purchase from a brand. I’m a fan of Sir Whiskers once you put it over the brown, it has so much depth.
