Good evening everyone! We have finally made it to the weekend and I am so ready for some downtime in my office and a whole lot of Netflix. To kick off the weekend I wanted to share my look for the inspired by music portion of the 52 Week Nail Challenge. I toyed with various ideas and finally settled on some cassette tape stamping. I’m going to show my age here but I have a special place in my heart for cassette tapes. As a kid I remember spending late nights and rainy weekend days sitting by the radio and hitting that record button to capture that one hit I just had to have. While people make playlist now, when I was growing up there was some serious effort made in making mix tape. That tape may have been a gift for someone special, the perfect poolside tunes for those long summer days, or sometimes just the challenge. Either way, I feel the cassette tape need to be highlighted for the inspired by music week.
For my cassette tape mani I started off with three coats of Turned Up Turquoise by China Glaze. While this is a matte shade, with a glossy top coat it goes way up on my favorite lacquer list. Next I used white stamping polish by MoYou Nails and the Rockstar Collection plate 3 by MoYou London. Everything is sealed with two coats of Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat by SuperChic Lacquer.
So what do you guys think of my cassette tape stamping for the inspired by music week? I love it, almost as much as I loved all those cassette tapes growing up. Thank you so much for stopping by today and please join us for the 52 Week Nail Challenge, it’s never too late to try new things! <3

This is such a cool idea! Well done. I remembered making a cassette for a boy I like and in the jacket of the case writing my phone number so maybe he would ….. he didn’t

I like the new length on your nails!
Nina says
Thanks!!! I had two really bad breaks, too much celebrating after the Alabama game, so I did a trim across the board. Much easier length to work with for sure!
