Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I finally got an off day yesterday and I spent most of the day relaxing. Working in a hospital right now is stressful enough, add in having two people out on medical leave makes it insane so I’m pulling extra days and hours to help. At the end of the workday, I pretty much don’t want to do anything but relax so going out shopping and cooking is to a minimum right now. One thing I am grateful for right now is my subscription services. It gives me something to look forward to with ease of just showing up at my door.
That brings me to today’s post. Candy Coat reached out to me and offer to send me one of their subscription boxes to try out and as a polish lover, you know I couldn’t say no! I personally had not heard of Candy Coat so after a few minutes of checking out the brand first, I decided to give them a try….boy am I glad I did!
First, let’s talk a little about the Candy Coat Subscription service itself. The subscription box I received consisted of three cute mini lacquers, some candy, and a cute squish gel pad. The packaging is super cute and fun, perfect for younger groups or those who like me who refuse to grow up! The boxes do ship from overseas so you will want to allow for some extra transit times.
Now let’s talk about the polish itself and what I was so impressed with! Their polish is 12 Free and the smell wasn’t too strong. The pigmentation on all of these was amazing! I only needed just one coat for each shade I tried, so you know what that means….these will be fabulous for stamping too! I love getting double use out of my lacquers.
The first shade I tried out was 907 by Candy Coat. This shade is a soft mauve purple creme. Even though it was mini, the brush was easy to work with and again, I only needed one coat for a solid finish.
The next shade in my box was 765 by Candy Coat. This shade a nude creme with a subtle pink undertone. Again, only one coat needed here!
The last shade in the box and my favorite was 807 by Candy Coat. This shade is a rich delicious red creme that is on fire! Again I went with one coat, you can see a slight nail line but I have dark lines so I might need two where someone with a subtle nail line could get away with one coat.
So what do you guys think of Candy Coat? The first impression, I really like them! I love the pigmentation, the application, and the fact that all three I tried also will pull double duty with stamping capabilities. If you love lacquer-like me but can’t find the time to hit the stores, Candy Coat’s subscription service might be something for you. Along with a subscription service, Candy Coat offers a wide range of nail lacquers, gel lacquers, and other great products. I will be sharing another post later this week showing off some of the stamping capabilities.
Thank you so much for stopping by today on this lovely Monday. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I will be checking back in soon!

I’ve been into nude crèmes for a while, I think I may go back again after this post, Nina!

I love nudes for a palette cleanser! It’s sometimes nice to have a break from the crazy colors or glitter to gather what I want to do next.

I haven’t seen a nail subscription in a while so it’s a good time to bring one out. I think it would be a nice gift for the teen world too.

I agree! They were really hot there for a minute and for some reason declined. I’m thrilled someone stepped in to fill that void!

Whoa, the 3 shades are so impressive! Such pigmentation and gel-like shine! I especially love the mauve & nude shade. What are u supposed to do with the “hand” gel pad???
Nina says
The pigmentation is really what blew me away! The gel pad…I personally throw them in the fridge. They are great for putting on eyes!

These are similar to what I gravitate to for every day shades– either statement red or neutral mauves!
Nina says
This red will certainly make a statement! I love its boldness!
