Happy Monday everyone! It’s the start of another lovely week and the rain has moved out, leaving us with sunshine and warmer temps. I’m super excited for today’s post, it’s Movie Monday! At least once a month this year I will be checking out movies at the big screen and then sharing my opinion of the film, along with some themed nail art. Taking two things I love and wrapped up into one fun post.
First, the movie! Bumblebee was so awesome! I am an 80’s child so I have had a longtime love for Transformers and while there has been a lot made in the past decade, this one really felt like my childhood memories of the series. For starters the movie is set in the ’80s, then the transformers aren’t new modern cars being but classics we love, and to really top things off the soundtrack is amazing! Bumblebee is directed by Tavis Knight and I personally feel he did an amazing job! You get more of a story and less of everything being blown up
I don’t want to spoil the story but I will say, I love how the movie starts off on Cybertron and explains how the Autobot Resistance ends up on earth. The storyline is super funny, while still adding in some action and much love Bumblebee aka B-127. I am so glad I got to see this one in theaters and really recommend checking it out!!! I can’t wait to see where the Transformer series goes now, there is some serious potential for an amazing series with Travis Knight behind the scenes!
Now for the nail art! I used one of the press photos from Paramount Pictures to get inspiration. I wanted something Bumblebee inspired obviously but also wanted something more….mechanical. That’s where I decided to cross the yellow with a dirty, ash stained look. Think Bumblebee after his final battle in the movie.
For my look, I started off with four coats of Daisy Know My Name? by China Glaze, a bright yellow creme. Next, I used
What do you guys think? While I wish the gray hadn’t brought out the green undertones of the yellow, I still love it! It totally has the mechanically and battle vibe I was going for! If you get a chance, you should totally go check out Bumblebee in theaters!!! I hope you guys loved another installment of Movie Monday! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will see you all again soon! <3

I wasn’t aware of the movie, but I am very interested in bees Your mani is so cute. I need to try a Saran Wrap technique-maybe I could handle that

I like that you took a different take on the movie and didn’t just do a bee. This is more like the tone of the movie.
