Happy Monday!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!! My weekend to be quiet honest was a nightmare!!! We finally got some much-needed rain after over three weeks of not a drop but we got way too much, way too quick! Saturday morning while doing some weekend cleaning and getting ready to go out for the day I suddenly heard a water drop sound coming from my office…..yep, the rain was so that morning it had backed up on the roof, went under the shingles, through cracks of the underlayment, on to the insulation, and straight onto my office ceiling!!!!
My stepdad and mom quickly rushed over with a ladder and my boyfriend was able to get on the roof and redirect the water. The leak has finally stopped but I will be in the need of some roof repairs and ceiling repairs in the very near future. Upon investigation, we have found that the previous homeowner had tackled yet another home renovation project that he shouldn’t have messed with. The new roof he installed is fine, but the flashing in the valleys he didn’t install is causing major issues so I will be having roofing not even two years old ripped up and replaced by a reputable company.
To chase my blues away on a much-unneeded house expense, I decided to share a much happier blue mani. For my blues mani, I went with two of my favorite shades from SuperChic Lacquer. I used Lucid LaLa Land and Spill It with some chevron vinyl decals to create the perfect two toned blue holographic chevron mani. Everything was sealed with two coats of Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat also by SuperChic Lacquer.
So what do you guys think of my blues chasing blue mani with SuperChic Lacquer? There is something about nail therapy that can really settle my anxiety…well that and some alcohol! Thank you so much for stopping by today and hopefully the rain holds off a little longer so I still have use of my office! <3
I love how this mani turned out! It’s a simple design but has such a beautiful impact because of the holo <3
Thanks! I agree, the holo really steps it up.
This is a stunner. Love the holo. Sorry about the roof though.
Thanks! Hopefully it doesn’t break the bank of me to bad!

Oooh! I love the sparkly chevrons! I’m used to seeing people do those with cream colors, so this is a nice change!
I love doing chevrons with creme but holo is my favorite combo!
this mani is perfection! Love the sparkle and the crisp angles!
Thanks! I was super happy with how this look turned out!

I love how easy chevrons are to achieve, but they always look so cool.
Chevrons are so easy and fun, I really need to do them more often!

Yikes, what a crazy weekend and how crappy to have to do another unexpected home repair! At least your nails look good!
As the old saying goes…. If I didn’t have bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all! hahahaha!
