Activated Charcoal Body and Face Scrub by Brooklyn Botany

April 16, 2019 by Nina 24 Comments

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely week so far! Can you believe we are already half way through April? It’s going to be the 4th of July in a blink of an eye! This year is going by so quick and so far I am doing pretty good on my skin care goal for the year. I am trying to incorporate new products into my daily routine, consistent routine, and getting rid of products that just aren’t working for me.

For a new to me try for this year I gave an also new to me brand a try. Brooklyn Botany has a wide range of scrubs, one of which the Activated Charcoal Body and Face Scrub, that are 100% crultey free and sourced from the most natural ingredents available. I have loved using charcoal scrubs and what I loved about this one at first glance was the price point and the added dead sea salt. The Charcoal Body and Face Scrub from Brooklyn Botany is a great dual action scrub that will polish away impurities and oil build up. If you have sensitive skin, you can mix this with a small amount of face cleaner. You don’t get as much scrub action but still a lot of the benefits of the sea salt and charcoal.

Have you tried out Brooklyn Botany yet? So far I am loving this scrub! I have been using it every other day for the past two weeks and notice a vast improvement on my skin smoothness. Brooklyn Botany has a ton of great scrubs and I look forward to trying many more out, especially the Sweet Orange Scrub and Arabic Coffee Scrub. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will see you all again soon!

I haven’t heard of this brand – but I love that they don’t test on animals. I’m a fan of scrubs, will have to check them out.

That was a big winner for me too and why I gave them a try over other brands.

I’d like this as a body scrub but I don’t know if it would be gentle enough for my face. Sweet Orange would be what I’d want.

Charcoal seems to be all the rage lately. I have a charcoal face wash that I like but I haven’t tried charcoal scrub before.

I’m terrible, instead of using a scrub I just use a pumice bar on my face, lol.

This one is a bit messy but I apply in the shower so no biggie. I’ve had some others in the past that were easy to apply but didn’t have as much charcoal either.

I love coffee scrub, the scent alone is a huge seller for me! But I feel the coffee ground grit is too hard for a facial.

Not sure if charcoal is as abrasive because I’ve yet to use coffee scrubs, but I feel this charcoal blend was pretty easy to work with.
