Above the Curve The Balm Dot Calm

Good afternoon everyone!  How is the weather in your area?  Here is dry and freezing cold, aka kryptonite to a lacquerista!  While I don’t enjoy humid, summer weather, my nails do.  This cold dry weather has been a great opportunity to try out a new product from Above the Curve.

The Balm Dot Calm is a thick jelly like balm made from lanolin, avocado oil, vitamin 3, hemp seed oil, fragrance oil.  One thing I have to bring up that I just love is the handy brush applicator they include.  Getting balm out of tubs with nails is just a big pain in the butt!  The brush made getting the balm out and applying super easy.  The balm is the consistency of jelly and does leave a thick film but after a few minutes it is mostly absorbed and I just finish with a paper towel.  They only thing I didn’t care for was the scent and I think that mostly has to do with the lanolin.  My cuticles and the surrounding nail bed were well nourished and seemed to last for hours.
