Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I am starting to get things ready for Thanksgiving, first time Neal and I will be celebrating at home, and planning what I am going to cook. What is your number one food that you look forward to? Mine is always my mom’s dressing, it is the best ever! I am also looking forward to having food in the oven, the smells in the air, and watching the parade on TV, all while rocking my PJ’s.
Today though I am going to share the fantastic Color BLOCKade Collection from Gabriel Cosmetics. This is a 5 piece collection that consists of the perfect bold colored blends. Three of these are cremes and two are shimmers, all are shown no top coat.
First up we have Golden Yellow. This is a very warm and bright yellow shimmer that surprisingly played very well with my skin tone. I think the warm undertones is what made this blend work so well with me. Formula was pretty nice and while it seems streaky when applying, it self levels beautifully once dried. In my photos I am wearing three coats of Golden Yellow.
Next up we have Cashmere. This is a lovely nude/taupe creme. Once again like Golden Yellow, it seems streaky but levels once dried. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Cashmere.
Next we have a favorite, Petrol Blue. This is a lovely medium blue with smokey undertones. Application was spot on and I had no issues what so ever. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Petrol Blue.
Next up is another favorite, Raspberry. This is a wonderful berry colored creme with a fantastic formula. Application was great and dry times were quick. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Raspberry.
Lastly we have my favorite out of them all, Holiday Red. This color is just perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Holiday Red is a beautiful red shimmer with some lovely depth. I had no application issues with this blend and it was heavily pigments so I would certainly suggest a good base coat if you are prone to staining. In my photos I am wearing just two coats of Holiday Red.
So what do you guys think of Gabriel Cosmetics Color BLOCKade Collection? Which is your favorite? I think all in all the collection is pretty nice. The brushes were very large and fanned so they created easy application and the black square caps pop off super easily so you can insure once the bottle is closed you can realign the top.
