Azature Nail Lacquer Review

December 17, 2014 by Nina 2 Comments

Good afternoon everyone!  I am super excited about today’s post.  Earlier this month Azature Nail Lacquer ran a celebration sale and all lacquers were only $6.  I had been eyeing a few shades for years now but never took the $25 dollar plunge so when I saw this sale, I rushed to the site.  I ended up picking 4 classic shades and can’t wait to share them with you.

First up we have Wine.  This is a lovely wine colored jelly filled with red and pink glitters.  Application was very easy and dry times were nice.  I used three coats to reach full opacity.  This lacquer, and all the others, dried to a very textured finish so I used two coats of Gelous to get a smooth, glossy finish.

Next up we have Blue.  This is a dark blue jelly base filled with silver glitters.  This blend was much thicker than the others so I was able to get full coverage in just two coats.  Again there was a heavy texture so to get the glossy finish, I used two coats of Gelous.

Now for Red.  This is a lovely bright red jelly filled with gold micro glitter.  Application and formula both were perfect.  This blend was certainly the thinnest out of the batch.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of Red and two coats of Gelous.

Lastly we have Black.  This was certainly the most disappointing blend out of the batch.  When I was shopping on the site I bought this one because in the swatch photos it reminded me of a night sky, but it wasn’t anything close to that.  Black is a VERY sheer smokey jelly with black and silver glitters.  After four coats I gave up on having anything close to the swatch photos.  Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have bought it and thank goodness I didn’t spend $25 on it!  For future use I would most likely layer this over a smokey gray shade.  In my photos I am wearing four coats of Black and two coats of Gelous.

So what do you guys think of my picks?  Do you grab any during the sale and if so which has been your favorite?  I am please with three of my purchases and of course Black could be a nice blend for some, just not what I had in mind and there fore a little let down.  You can check out all that Azature had to offer and I highly suggest following them on Facebook so you can know when they are having another great sale.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow. <3

It’s certainly not a bad thing… just not what I had envisioned from the photos on the site.

It was a crazy week at home with appointments, taking care of a sick puppy, and managing a household, but I wanted to share some more lovely lacquers from SuperChic Lacquer. Today, I have Psycho from SuperChic Lacquer to share. This was just the perfect silver holographic crackle shade for Halloween since it was inspired by the film Psycho, and I thought a red glitter base would be the ideal pairing....
