Good evening everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday! I am actually off work today, first weekday off in FOREVER, and recovering from a night of fun at Nic & Norman’s. Regular readers know how much I love The Walking Dead and for quiet sometime now I have been wanting to go to Nic & Norman’s for one of their viewing parties. Nic & Norman’s is wonderful restaurant owned by Greg Nicotero & Norman Reedus and is located in Senoia, GA or aka Woodbury. So not only do you get to go to an awesome place to eat, you can also walk around and see tons of filming locations. Right down the street is Alexandria, which is mostly burned right now, and the Woodbury Shop that has all your Walking Dead merchandise and mini museum. While I took tons of photos, tonight I want to focus on the awesome viewing party and my Walking Dead theme nails I created for the mid-season premiere.
For Nic & Norman’s Walking Dead Viewing Party you have to purchase tickets in advance for $40 which includes a three coarse dinner, photo op to mark the occasion, an exclusive shot glass, and includes your tip and taxes. The menu is a fixed menu but there are plenty of options to cover everyone, even great vegan options. For my appetizer I went with their chickpea hummus served with marinated tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, and baked flatbread.
Main coarse was Greg’s Pick Burger. This was a delicious gourmet burger made from a proprietary blend of ground chuck, short rib, and brisket with a blackened seasoning, bleu cheese, baby blend lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles, and had their sidewinder fries as my side dish. I also went with the option lettuce un-bun for a somewhat healthier option.
For dessert we had three options but as soon as I heard the first option, red velvet cake, I really didn’t pay any attention two the other two. These were served in a cute little baby mason jar and was jus the right amount for a sweet tooth fix. For my tart fix I had a few of the signature drinks for the event, the Bite Me drink by Bacardi. This cocktail pairs Bacardi rum with smooth orange juice, bright lime, and grenadine. Delicious and dangerous!
Now for about the actually viewing part of the party. Before the show starts your server will come around to check on you before the lights are dimmed and the whole place goes quiet! There is one giant big screen that show is projected along with about 5 other TVs scattered about the restaurant. Your server only comes out during commercials to ensure no interruptions while watching. It was so much fun getting to share the experience with so many other fans, we cheered together and morned together. It was a great time and I will certainly be going to more!
Now let’s talk about those nails!!! For the Viewing Party I of course had to do some inspired nails. For my Walking Dead nails I started off with my custom blend from Monster Polish, Walker Flesh. This is the perfect zombie green filled with green and gold glitters in various sizes. Next I used My Go To Red from Ciate and straw to create a gruesome blood splatter. To tie it all together I used Purity from Zoya to do some TWD graffiti. Everything is sealed with two coats of Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat by SuperChic Lacquer.
How awesome is this event?!?! I had so much fun spending quality time with my friend Heidi from Makeup Assassin and so many other great people who shared the love for The Walking Dead. The food at Nic & Norman’s was delicious and had amazing servers! I will certainly be trying my best to get tickets to the season finale, it’s currently sold out but refunded tickets do popup occasionally. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will see you all again soon! <3
