Press Release

Happy New Year!!!!  I hope you all had an amazing but safe night!  I am super excited to start another amazing year with an amazing indie subscription box.  The Beauty Quartet Box consists of three regular brands and one guest brand each month, this month is Philly Loves Lacquer, Digital Nails, Smokey Mountain Lacquers, and guest Love, Angeline.  Every other month there is a new box filled with 4 exclusive lacquers with a fun theme.  The theme for the February box is “Treat Yo Self” and as a huge Parks and Rec fan, I am thrilled!!!  First lets take a look at the box and it’s cute packaging.

As you can see, this box is packed full of amazing goodies.  We have the four exclusive lacquers but we also have four great extras.  Let’s talk about the extras first.  We have some Rose scented body whip from Smokey Mountain Lacquer.  Normally even the thought of rose scent turns my nose up but this was actually rather nice.  Unlike most rose scented products, this is a very light scent and not overpowering.  The body whip was super smooth and absorbed fairly quick.  Next up we have the Remover Improver from Digital Nails and is chocolate scented.  This is actually an additive to your acetone.  You shake up the glass vile to mix the ingredients and pour in your 8 oz bottle of remover.  This helps keep your remover from drying out your nail beds and adds a fantastic scent.  All in all a fantastic product and I love that you can add to any remover.  Now for the cute vinyl decals from Love, Angeline.  These are super cute little hearts that you can hand place or remove the larger die cut sheet to create a cute waterfall of hearts (saving those for a cute valentines mani).  The die cut is VERY clean and the tiny hearts were super easy to remove.  Big thumbs up!  Lastly for the extras we have Annberry Sauce Lip Scrub from Philly Loves Lacquer.  This is a a nice moisturizing lip balm but for the scrub part, not so much.  I think all of the sugar scrub has settled at the bottom or dissolved, that being said I still think it is a pretty nice product.  The container is very nice and makes for very easy application.  Again the scent is very light and non offensive.

Okay now for what we all love, the lacquer!  First up we will take a look at Pleasure In Your Base from Smokey Mountain Lacquers.  This is a lovely blue creme with a slight metallic finish and scattered micro silver glitter.  Application was great and opacity was great.  I was able to get full coverage in just two coats!

Next up we have Emeralds are a Girl’s Best Friend by Love, Angeline.  This is a stunning emerald green scattered holo with green flakes and shimmer.  I just loved this one.  The green is super rich and the added flakes add something special.  This blend was a little thick but leveled out nicely once dried.  In my photos I am wearing two coats of Emeralds are a Girl’s Best Friend.

Now for Chocolate Waterfall by Digital Nails.  OMG!  Chocolate Waterfall is a darkish brown crelly loaded with micro gold holographic glitter and is amazing.  This blend is a bit thick due to all the glitter but application was still awesome.  In my photos I am wearing two coats of Chocolate Waterfall and two good coats of Gelous.

Lastly we have The Best Day of the Year by Philly Loves Lacquer.  This is a fuchsia jelly leaning crelly filled with pink, dark pink, red, and magenta glitters in various sizes and shapes.  The formula was super easy to work with and using the stir method, I easily acquired larger glitters.  This one was a little sheerer than the others but with three coats I had a solid finish.  In my photos I am wearing three coats of The Best Day of the Year and a generous coat of Gelous.

    Hey Nina!
This box looks so interesting, probably a bit pricey for EU residents but still good in product selection.
The blue nail polish by Smokey Mountain and one by Philly are really nice 🙂
    Have a great 2015!!!

I think the EU shipped box is only $60 but this box is already sold out. Be sure to keep an eye out for the next one. 🙂
